VMHSS, under the name of SIV school, operated from 1965 until 2009. The school officially changed its name to the Vijayalakshmi Matriculation Higher Secondary School in May of 2009.Today the school is ‘owned’ and managed by Shree Vijayalakshmi Charitable trust to provide quality education to all the deserving and under privileged children in the area absolutely free of cost.

At VMHSS, we believe in preparing students for the challenges they will face in universities and colleges and beyond by providing them with a solid foundation of knowledge and skills.

To be successful academically, one must also develop a healthy body through activity, fitness and nutrition, and so we also encourage students to participate in regular physical fitness and wellness activities at the school.
